Understanding Clearly. Exploring Possibilities. Living Now.
Welcome
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck, or somehow blocked, from living how they want to live. For over 15 years, I have been supporting children, adolescents, and adults to explore the world as they experience it and experiment with other ways they would like to relate to their circumstances, others, and themselves. My expertise is in listening to your story, understanding what is important to you, and empowering you to pursue the change that is most meaningful to you. Thank you for visiting.

Determining a Good Fit
How to Tell If Therapy Is Likely to Be Helpful for You
The 3 most important factors about whether or not you have a beneficial experience of therapy are:
Having a trusting relationship with your therapist
That your therapist offers a framework for how to help you, and that they are specifically trained in that approach
That the therapist's framework makes sense to you and fits with what you think you need in order to change
My style is naturally semi-structured. I generally offer a "big picture" framework for understanding what we will be doing and then simply ask you to describe your experiences. I do not place much emphasis on diagnosis. I have found that therapy looks so wildly different for people with the same diagnosis that it does not have much impact on your experience. Instead, I am more interested in how your concern has been troubling you, as well as how it has worked well enough to stick around.
